Legislation was passed during the 2009 Session that requires charter school applicants to participate in training prior to filing an application. To assist charter school applicants in meeting this requirement, the Florida Department of Education will offer training workshops in various locations throughout the state.

The Duval County Public Schools Charter School Office will not provide this training nor does the New Applicant Orientation offered by the Charter School Office meet this training requirement.

Training is provided by the Florida Department of Education at no cost to the participants; however, participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and any related expenses (accommodations, meals, etc).
